Publikacja jest monograficznym, interdyscyplinarnym opracowaniem materiałów zabytkowych, danych paleośrodowiskowych i danych paleoekonomicznych pozyskanych w trakcie polsko-słowackich badań na wczesnoneolitycznym stanowisku w miejscowości Moravany, na wschodniej Słowacji, w latach 2000-2012. Na stanowisku tym odkryta została osada ludności kultury wschodniej ceramiki linearnej. Osada ta była zamieszkana pomiędzy ok. 5500 a 5200 BC. Była to jedna z najwcześniejszych osad neolitycznych na terenie Niziny Wschodniosłowackiej. Prezentowana monografia ma istotne znaczenie dla doprecyzowania i poszerzenia stanu naszej wiedzy na temat początków neolitu w dorzeczu górnej Cisy.

This publication is an interdisciplinary monograph, containing analyses of archaeological artefacts as well as paleoenvironmental and palaeoeconomic data acquired during the Polish-Slovak investigations at early Neolithic site in Moravany (eastern Slovakia), in the years 2000-2012. A settlement of the Eastern Linear Pottery Culture was discovered in this site. This settlement was inhabited between ca. 5500 and 5200 BC. It was one of the earliest Neolithic settlements in the Eastern Slovak Lowland. The presented monograph significantly broadens and clarifies the state of our knowledge about the origins of the Neolithic in the upper Tisza basin.
