Podstawowe informacje

Ukończył studia archeologiczne w IA UJ w 1997 roku broniąc pracę magisterską pt. "Egipskie osiedla rzemieślnicze. Funkcje - mieszkańcy - architektura". W 2001 roku obronił pracę doktorską pt. "Tell el-Farcha 1987-1999. Ceramika predynastyczna i wczesnodynastyczna" uzyskując tytuł doktora nauk humanistycznych. Stypendysta Fonds d'Aide aux Lettres Polonaises Independantes, Fundacji im. Stefana Batorego oraz Fundacji z Brzezia Lanckorońskich. Kilkakrotnie przebywał na stypendiach w Egipcie połączonych z udziałem w terenowych pracach badawczych na stanowiskach: Tell el-Farkha, Sakkara, Tell Atrib, Deir el-Bahari, Naqlun, Qasr el-Sagha. W 1997 roku otrzymał I nagrodę w Konkursie na Najlepszą Pracę Magisterską o Krajach Arabskich zorganizowanym przez Biuro Kulturalne Ambasady Egiptu w Warszawie, Fundację Współpracy z Krajami Arabskimi "Arabis" oraz Krajową Izbę Budownictwa.
