Podstawowe informacje

Specjalizuje się w tematyce związanej z egipskim obrządkiem pogrzebowym w okresie pre- i wczesnodynastycznym. Wieloletni członek Polskiej Ekspedycji Archeologicznej do Wschodniej Delty Nilu, w ramach której nadzoruje prace na cmentarzysku w Tell el-Farcha. Autorka ok. 50 prac naukowych z zakresu archeologii Egiptu i Lewantu.
Zainteresowania badawcze koncentruje wokół kwestii związanych z wczesnym egipskim obrządkiem pogrzebowym, rozwojem architektury ceglanej i wczesnymi kontaktami egipsko-lewantyńskimi, a także dydaktyką archeologii.
Studia w Instytucie Archeologii UJ zakończone obroną pracy magisterskiej "Ceramika kultury dolnoegipskiej", stopień doktora uzyskany w 2006r. na podstawie pracy "Obrządek pogrzebowy w Dolnym Egipcie w okresie pre- i wczesnodynastycznym". Studia podyplomowe na Wydziale Chemii UJ: Nowoczesne techniki analityczne dla konserwacji obiektów zabytkowych.
Udział w licznych ekspedycjach badawczych zarówno w Polsce jak i w Egipcie, Sudanie, Francji czy na Ukrainie. Członek ekspedycji do Tell el-Farcha, uczestnik badań IFAO na stanowisku Kom el-Khilgan w Egipcie oraz współpracującego z Ben-Gurion University of Negev, Israel projektu TRONE (Trade Routes of the Near East) skupiającego się na badaniu szlaków handlowych w Południowym Lewancie we wczesnej epoce brązu. Współprowadząca badania na stanowisku Tel Erani w Izraelu w sezonach 2013-14.
Wzięła udział w ponad 50 konferencjach naukowych: krajowych i zagranicznych (min. Liverpool 2019, Durham 2018, Barcelona 2018, Maastricht 2017, Boston 2017, Kioto 2016, Wiedeń 2016, Zagrzeb 2015, Kopenhaga 2015, San Diego 2014, Kair 2013, Dead Sea, Jordania 2013, Chicago 2012, Kraków 2012, Poznań 2011, Nowy Jork 2011, Pułtusk 2009, Londyn 2008, Tuluza 2005, Poznań 2003, Kraków 2002, Puszczykowo 2001).
Członek European Association of Archaeologists (EAA), International Association of Egyptologists (IAE), World Archaeological Congress (WAC), British Association of Near Eastern Archaeology (BANEA), American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR) oraz Komisji Archeologii Krajów Śródziemnomorskich PAU.
Zaangażowana w popularyzację archeologii min. poprzez prowadzony w okresie 2015-16 projekt finansowany przez FNP: Warsztat archeologa, czyli (nie) dotykać eksponatów, który był serią warsztatów dla dzieci i młodzieży wprowadzających w tajniki pracy w zawodzie.
W 2013r. laureatka nagrody Rektora UJ za osiągnięcia naukowe.
Od blisko 15 lat prowadzi zajęcia dla studentów archeologii z zakresu archeologii Egiptu i Bliskiego Wschodu oraz praktycznych umiejętności zawodowych. Od 2007 asystent, a od 2014 adiunkt w Zakładzie Archeologii Egiptu i Bliskiego Wschodu Instytutu Archeologii UJ.
