Ewelina Miśta-Jakubowska, PhD

Archeometrist, graduated in chemistry and archeology at the University of Warsaw. She obtained her PhD in physical sciences from the National Center for Nuclear Research, where since 2013 she has been developing issues related to the application of physical techniques in archaeology. Currently, she is employed as the Head of the Archeometry Laboratory at the Institute of Archeology Jagiellonian University, her home place of work is the National Center for Nuclear Research in Otwock, where she is responsible for the development of imaging techniques, including neutron application. Since 2015, she has been participating in the work of the European Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS.pl: www.e-rihs.pl). He is a resident lecturer at the Materials Science and Engineering Faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology, where he conducts classes on the use of instrumental methods in the field of materials engineering in archaeology. Her area of scientific interest is the use and development of material research techniques in archeology with a problem-based approach to the issue. Personally, her research focuses on the early Middle Ages and issues related to provenance study of raw material. Currently, she is involved in work on ore archeology in the area of present-day Upper Silesia.
